How To Make 2-Ingredient Meringue Cookies
Paired with your favorite tea or coffee, these melt-in-your-mouth treats will be a go-to snack or dessert.
Ingredients
- 4 pcs egg whites
- 2¼ cups confectioners' sugar
Instructions
-
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
-
In a medium-sized bowl, use a mixer on medium speed to whip the egg whites until foamy.
-
Add in the sugar a tablespoon at a time, sprinkling in as you continue to whip the eggs.
-
Once the mixture stiffens, scoop into a large pastry bag. Using the star or round tip, pipe onto the baking sheets.
-
Place the baking sheets in the oven. Bake for an hour, or until the meringues are dry. Using a wooden spoon, prop open the oven door slightly so that it does not fully close.
-
Turn off the heat and leave your cookies in the warm oven for 2 hours. You need to dry out your cookies completely.
-
Serve with your favorite coffee or afternoon tea.
